Landhotel Endhart in Landsberg am lech

I am going to be staying in Landsberg with my husband and parents for three days in the beginning of July and we want to stay close to the center of town because we are taking my parents back to where my dad was stationed in the Air Force 63 years ago. I found the Landhotel Endhart and it looks very nice and got good reviews. My only concern is that the website doesn't say it has air conditioning. When I googled it, there was a post stating that there is no A/C. We live in Florida, so we are never without A/C. Will it be too warm/stuffy in July to stay without air conditioning? Or does it not have A/C cause it doesn't get warm enough in the area to warrant it.

We stayed at the Goggl and liked it but it was not July. The Endhart and the Goggl are two upscale hotels in Landsberg and neither has air. The average temps in July are 74/54 but that may not be much help. It certainly can get warmer and Germany can be muggy when it happens. I would be sure to ask for a quiet room away from the street so that you can open the windows. You might email the hotel and ask if they have fans. Air is less common in Germany especially away from expensive chain hotels.

BTW, we really enjoyed Landsberg.

Germany is not Florida.

In about 150 nights in Germany since 2000, I've never stayed anywhere with air conditioning, and there was only one night when I would have wanted it. Our accommodations were on a street with traffic noise so we could not have the windows open. It would have been OK if we could have.

You can spend an arm and a leg for a place with air, and then 99% of the time it won't be necessary.

I stayed here, at Augsburger Hof, in Landsberg in 2007. It is very close to the town center and the most reasonably priced place in town. Despite the somewhat drab exterior it was rather nice inside. My room was large and modern with an attached bathroom. And, no, I don't think it has air conditioning.

Despite it's Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor, none of their partners book it. You will have to book directly with them on their website.

Landhotel Endhart is well out of town.

It's really impossible to tell what the weather will be like - it can just as easily be in the high 50s and rainy in July as it can be 90 degrees and muggy. Both are outliers, but it can happen.

I'm used to sleeping without A/C I only insist on booking rooms with A/C in cities that can get very hot during heatwaves, like Paris. But if you're very used to chilled air, you might find it uncomfortable even if it's just seasonably warm, and especially if you aren't used to traffic noise via open windows. If you're worried about it, you might want to consider booking at a hotel with A/C just in case. It will probably mean staying at a souless chain, and that wouldn't be my first choice, but in my experience people used to lots of A/C are often uncomfortable without it, and a poor night's sleep can really ruin a trip.

I don't think you are going to find a hotel room with air conditioning in Landsberg. Vienna House Easy advertises A/C in their conference rooms, but doesn't list it as an amenity in even their best rooms. DEHOGA, the organization that awards star ratings for German hotels, gives point toward star rating for air conditioning in rooms, but does not require A/C for even 5-star hotels.

However, it's only 50 minutes (±) from Munich Hbf to Landsberg with one change (Kaufering) or a little longer with no changes from Augsburg. Maybe you can find a hotel with A/C in one of those two cities.

Thank you so much for everyone's replies. Based on the info you all provided, we decided to not worry about the A/C and stay at the Landhotel Endhart especially since one of you had mentioned that it is one of the nicer/upscale hotels for the area. I asked for a room that is quiet so we can open the windows at night. It appears to be a 2 mile drive to where my parents lived 63 years ago and I think they will be excited. Thanks again for ya'lls help.
