Will I be able to find lactose-free milk in Munich? At a grocery or at a Reformhaus or other " bio" store? I will assume it will not be available on the breakfast buffet at our hotel and would like to bring my own. Or should I just plan on bring tin lots of Lactaid pills?
Aldi's has Lactose-free milk (Laktosefreien H-Milch) under their Minulakt brand as well as other lactose-free dairy products. I only mention them as they are the only German grocery chain I am familiar with.
Thanks, Sam. That is good to know. All I need is milk for my breakfast---can't eat bread either, so it gets interesting.
I recall seeing it at Rewe.
You can buy it at any grocery store in Germany. It is widely available.
Depending on your hotel, they may also offer this or soy milk as so many people in Germany are vegans. You might want to write them and ask they have it on your breakfast buffet. Larger hotels will certainly offer it.
Even some smaller hotels. I was surprised to see it at the Holiday Inn Express south of Nürnberg. And at my hotel in Luxembourg.
Soy milk, or a nut milk option might be more available at breakfast if those work with you.
Soy milk is ot an option, butit sounds like I will have no trouble finding lactose-free.
