We are going on a My Way Alpine tour in August. Our tour mates from another tour told us when she was on the BOE 21 day tour they walked from King Ludwigs Castle to the Church of Wies. And highly suggested we do it... .. has anyone done this? I have been trying to research it and it looks like we would be hiking for days..I asked our friend if maybe they took the bus part way?
We would be interested if it is possible. We have done the GAS and seen Neushwanstein.

Which Castle were they referring to? The one near Fussen (Neuschwanstein) or the one at Linderhof? Either are doable, but it's hardly a stroll. It would be a 5 or 6 hour hike.
