We will be in Berlin Easter weekend. Our original plan was to go to our next destination on Monday, the day after Easter. But we are thinking now about staying another day. Is this day after Easter typically also a holiday for Germans? Will stores be open? Tourist sites like Checkpoint Charlie? I don't want to stay an extra day if everything will be closed.
If you mean the "Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie", according to their website, www.mauermuseum.de, it is open "all year".
Wir haben das ganze Jahr für unsere Besucher geöffnet.
Good Friday and Easter Monday are German holidays. Stores will be closed, however most cafes and restaurants should be open.
Check websites for museums to see if they are open on Easter and Easter Monday in Germany. Yes, stores are always closed on German holidays, but most other things are open. Good Friday though is more solemn and many museums will be closed, clubs will be closed, no music or dancing.
