Is Mary's Bridge on the Pölltatschlucht trail?

I see on the Neushwanstein/Hohenschwangau website that the Pölltatschlucht is closed due to rock falls. Does that mean you can't get to Mary's Bridge right now? Or is the bridge on a different trail?

Thanks -

From the Hohenschwangau website,

The trail through the "Pöllatschlucht" is closed for security reasons
due of rock falls.

The entrance to Neuschwanstein Castle and the tours remain unaffected.

YOU CAN REACH NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE BY BUS, BY HORSE CARRIAGES OR BY
WALK VIA THE DRIVING ROAD

"You can reach Neuschwanstein castle by bus..."

I'm not familiar with the Pöllatschlucht trail, but it appears to be separate from Mary's Bridge. Buses are not allowed on the road up to Neuschwanstein; the bus drops you off above the bridge, and you walk down from there to the castle. Since the website says you can get to the castle by bus, I would assume that you can still get to Mary's Bridge.

ryan,

AFAIK, you should still be able to get to Marienbrücke which provides fantastic views of the castle. However as Lee mentioned, the trails through the Pollät Gorge at the present time due to rock falls. As I recall the Gorge (and trail) is underneath the bridge, so I can understand why rock falls would be a problem.

Hopefully this is not the situation when you visit the bridge!

Another quote from the Website of the Bayerische Verwaltung der Schlösser und Seen:

"The comprehensive restoration of the Marienbrücke, the bridge over the Pollät Gorge, has now been completed and the bridge is once again accessible for visitors.

The hiking trail through the Pöllat Gorge is inaccessible until further notice due to a rockfall. The way to the castle and the guided tours are not affected.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused."
