I am researching a trip to Munich and surrounding areas for June or July 2024 and have read that June is one of the months when it rains the most. Any truth to this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Statistically I think you will find June and July have near the same rainfall in Bayern. This year we had a great early June and most of July. In the mountains to the south and the Oberpfalzer and Bayerischer Wald you will get afternoon showers/thundershowers a few times a week along with the usual weather patterns. The last week in July and into the first week in August were very unusual with rain and temps down into the 50s F. Climate is changing here, and every year is different. No snow near me yet this year (and Bayern) with only a few freezing mornings. My annual garden plants are still doing well. In years passed I have already shoveled snow a few times by now. My snowblower sat in the garage all last winter. I would not worry about the rain too much.

Most rain is in May and July but varies much.
See weather statistic for Junes between 2000 and 2023 in Bavaria. "Niederschlag" means rain in wider sense.
