Is EES in Munich airport delaying outbound flights

We are flying home to the US on Thursday morning, having vacationed in Germany since September 28. The new biometric EES system was not implemented when we arrived, but I see that it is now in effect at Munich airport for US citizens returning to the States. Wondering if this process has considerably slowed down passport control there and if so, how much time do you think we should allow for lines? Our flight on American leaves at 10:20am so trying to figure out what time to arrive at the airport. Any guidance is appreciated.

I don't think EES has been implemented at Munich Airport.

Anyway, since you didn't register for it on arrival, you couldn't use it for departure.

I believe the old system is still in place.

I flew from Munich to Chicago last Wednesday and we had no issues with delays. My son got picked for random security check though and we were still waiting with plenty of time with our 3 hr layover incoming from Cologne. I think you'd be fine getting there by 9. It's all kind of a blue but I believe we just scanned our passports there then went up to the window. We went from Minneapolis to D.C. to Munich to Cologne and then Cologne to Munich to Chicago to Minneapolis for our flights and went through several biometric scans and passport scans but no fingerprints like I've seen in videos. At least not yet from 10/15-10/22.
