Does anyone know anything about international travel with moving there and not for tourism? My husband is living in Germany, I’ve planned to move to Germany in end of April or beginning May but haven’t bought my ticket due to being scared of being denied at border. I have contacted the embassy and still waiting on a response because I didn’t understand the exceptions list on the website. I planned on applying for the residency permit in Germany since I can stay there for three months doing so I thought it was a good option. My husband is a resident in Germany and I am a US citizen. On the German website it states it allows German citizens and their families, residents and their families, healthcare workers, seasonal workers, business, and Eu citizens and families. I have a apartment contact with my name on it as well as my husbands and marriage certificate in Germany. If anyone knows anything, it would help me out a lot with the stress of being away from my husband.

Simplest way might to be a call to one of the German Consulates.

Is your husband a German "resident" or a German "citizen" ? That may make a difference in the advice the German Consulate gives you.
