Hi
Just wondering if there is a direct train between Interlaken to Munich? Is the train ride scenic? What other travel options are there between the two cities. We are 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 5).

No direct trains, but some very scenic ones, at least within Switzerland. If you go Interlaken Ost-Luzern-St Gallen-Munich, you will get some nice scenery.

The main issue would be that this is a 8+ hour train ride and the children might get bored and restless. Your could stop along the way for a day, Lucerne would be nice, the children would like the covered bridge and a lake cruise. I have a special love of Switzerland, I could be happy living there the rest of my life.

Speaking of families, I see you can book a Family compartment on the EC train to Munich. Cost is 8 EUR.
