hi does any one know do other trains travel from Munich to Frankfurt other than the ICE trains. My pass in work doesn't cover me on these trains. Thanks
Thanks Jeff
I have taken Regional trains from Munich to Frankfurt. You will probably have to change trains in Würzburg though. Nice trip with pretty scenery and the train doesn't really take that much longer than the trip with the ICE.
Thanks Ms Jo

Curious what type of pass this is. Eurail pass and German Rail Pass cover ICE trains. The only product I know of that restricts you to regional trains is the Quer Durch Lands ticket or the Schoenes Wochende ticket, which you just buy on the day you need it.
I would also question what pass you are talking about. Does it just not cover the ICE? There are a lot of EC connections and some IC connections between Frankfurt and Munich. Use the Bahn schedule webpage to find connections.
If you are talking about a Schönes-Wochenende- or Quer-durchs-Land-Ticket (pass), they don't cover ICEs, ICs, or ECs, only regional trains. But there are lots of regional trains. Unfortunately, there are not direct regional trains all the way from Munich to Frankfurt. You'll probably have to make at least two connections (Nürnberg & Würzburg).
