My husband and I will be spending 5 days in Berlin and then moving on to Frankfurt area. I am using the Deutshe Bahn web site. I know the station I want in Berlin is the Berlin Central station. I am having difficulty finding an ICE train that will take us to Frankfurt am (Main) Flughafen Fernbahnhof -- which is the airport station. Every time I try I keep getting the Frankfurt am (Main) Hbf which is the central station in downtown Frankfurt. Does anyone have any ideas on the correct terminology to use.
Thanks for your help
I did a dummy booking and there were no problems. It is called Frankfurt(M)Flughafen or Frankfurt(Main)Flugh depending on language.
I’m headed to Frankfurt soon so have researched quite a bit about train travel there. Using the bahn.com website I had to type in a few letters for Frankfurt to get to the airport choice. Specifically, as I gradually typed the letters ‘Fran’ the drop down menu for choices cycled from Frankfurt (Main) to Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Fernbahnhof and other destinations.
It’s definitely available at least on that website. Hope this helps.
Thank you to everyone we have successfully booked our train tickets. Safe travel to everyone.
