Hello all,
Have spent the last two weeks in Germany/austria as a 3 generational group of 7 people. Have enjoyed Munich, GaPa, Berchtesgaden, and are currently in Rothenburg. Will wake up tomorrow in Rothenburg and need to be to Munich around 5pm to turn in rental car. Looking for advice how to spend this last day between Rothenburg and Munich. Would love your suggestions. TIA!
Stop at the Franconian open-land (outdoor) museum in Bad Windsheim on the way for some time travel. Fascinating place in a nice town, restaurants and brewery are on site.
Traveling by car? It's about 2.5-3 hours just for the drive. Maybe a stop in Ulm to see the cathedral or Augsburg for a nice lunch.
Head down the Romantic Road and stop in Nordlingen and Dinkelsbuhl or Augsburg.
Nordlingen is a great stop along the way
