We will be in Germany the first 10 days of July ending in Hamburg. We want to turn our car in at the train station and then take the train to Copenhagen. Any recommendations for inexpensive hotels near train station? I've tried Motel One and they are booked already for our dates!

There is the Hotel Graf Moltke across from Hamburg Hbf on Kirchenallee, which is also one the station exits. I've checked it out but havev't stayed there. Where I did stay a couple of times is at a hotel located more opposite from the station, also on Kirchenallee, "Hotel Fürst Bismarck" a 3 star, very good but a bit more expensive than what "Graf Moltke" charges. "Graf Moltke" gets a higher rating. Both of these would be satisfactory to you.
