Hi, simone. I'm assuming you mean Bamberg. Keep in mind that spellings can be difficult in German, as some place names end in "berg" (like Bamberg) and others end in "burg" (like Regensburg). It's easy to check, though, with a quick Google search (or look in the guidebooks.

That said, if you want something very close to the station, the Ibis, as mentioned above, is a good choice. There is a Best Western that's a little farther away but closer to the Aldstadt. Do you have a budget in mind?

May I ask why near the train station?

Bamberg is relatively small and the busses run from the older parts of Bamberg right to the train station in just a few minutes. The taxi ride is also short and inexpensive.

I frequently stay at ibis properties and use the ibis Styles Bamberg on Lange Strasse when in Bamberg. Compared to the ibis near the train station, it is very convenient to sights, shops, resturants, etc.

We prefer to stay in older, boutique style hotels or guesthouses rather than cookie cut modern hotels. Our budget is between $100-125 per night. Your information is very welcome! Good to know that the old city is close to the trainstation.

You might want to check Bamberg's tourism page, as they list many hotels and holiday homes (called Ferienwohnung) that you won't find elsewhere. Here is a link to their accommodations page.

Thanks for clarifying where you like to stay. The ibis chain is not for you. The only other suggestion I have is a room at Brauerei Spezial https://brauerei-spezial.de/zimmer/. I have never stayed there, but they are recommend by a number of reputable beer bloggers. Brauerei Spezial is a brewery, restaurant and inn. I can highly recommend the beer and food.
