The TOP Hotel Hammer Mainz City, Koenigshof, and Schottenhof are all good and just outside the main train station.

Near the Mainz Römisches Theater station, which is one station closer to FRA and also nearer the old town zone, you'll find the Mainz Ibis hotel. It's also a good place to stay the night prior to a flight out of FRA the following day.
