What are Typical Hotel Rates In Nuremberg?

Hi folks,

My husband and I will be in Germany in early November and had hoped to spend a night in Nuremberg on our way to Munich. I am bumping in to 4 night minimums and high rates for one night only-$400 and more. I am trying to find out if there is a convention or holiday that is impacting this but I can't find any information. Does anyone know if there is some big event in that area around Nov. 13th?

Thank you!

Well, it's not Taylor Swift; she's in South America that week.

For sure something's going on.

Well THAT was not on my list of possibilities but thanks for ruling it out! LOL

There is a big trade fair that starts on the 14th so people are arriving on the 13th.

I'll be in Nuremburg the week prior and the rates were not bad at all.

Have you checked out Hotel Victoria? We stay there every year for the Xmas Markets - it is within the OLD TOWNE wall, right across the street from the train station - you can actually walk underground to the train station, very walkable to all the sites and Cathedrals. It's always #1-4 on TripAdvisor. Great included Breakfast.

Sadly, Hotel Victoria shows availability on the calendar but when you go to book it, it shows unavailable.

I don’t know what your exact dates are but we spent 4 nights at the Melter this year and they don’t have a minimum stay. I do see a couple of nights at 400+ but there are plenty of early November nights at under $150.

We really liked that hotel AND they have free self-service laundry with soap and everything for guests!!!!!

Thanks for the advice but Nov. 13th is really our only option. My husband is not dead set on Nuremberg so we may head to Rothenburg ob der Tauber instead.

whenever we drive to Nuremberg (fairly often) we always stay at the Holiday Inn Express on the train line south of the city in Schwabach. I thought maybe being out of town that might have something but I just looked and they are also sold out the 13th.

Sorry,,,,

Another vote for Bamberg.
Possibly the best beer city in all of Germany, easy train ride to Nürnberg, and worthy of some time in its own right.
