Hotel or B&B suggestions for Nuremberg

In the past I would have looked at the section on Guidebook Feedback to find personal opinions of hotels. The new Germany hotel review section does not yet contain many entries. Can anyone recommend a hotel in Nuremberg? I would prefer to stay in the old town areas and hope to pay less than 100 euros per night for a double that includes breakfast. No car, using train. Thanks for suggestions.

We've stayed at two near the town center: Burg Hotel is closer but kind of old and outdated, although it was clean. The Durer Hotel is a bit further and, if I remember correctly, the walk was uphill a bit. It was more modern but probably more expensive.

We stayed at an Ibis just inside the city walls- less plastic than many Ibis, discounted parking in a garage a couple of blocks away. breakfast not included but booking online saved 10% - sign up for the frequent stayer program and you will get emails for even better specials. We walked most places. It had AC if that matters.Totally enjoyed Nurnberg- great finger sized sausages, excellent history, could have stayed longer.

Nuernberg is a town with many trade fairs. The room rates and availability are highly dependent on when you visit. We have double room reservations at the Ibis Hauptbahnhof, just outside the wall, for 57 euros in April. With breakfast that will be 77 euros. We have stayed there before and liked it reasonably well. I like to use HRS.com to find rooms in cities. It is good for research even if you want to reserve directly with the hotel involved.
