I hope to spend 2 nights in Frankfurt for sightseeing in the city around the 20th of November. I will be flying out of Frankfurt, perhaps very early. I want to good Sbahn connections. It looks like the Hauptwache area would be a good choice but I am open to other suggestions. I would like to keep my hotel cost under 140$ for a single. Any suggestions?

Try these hotels: Hotel Mirimar, Adina Apts. Flemings Deluxe City, Hotel Neue Kräme.
If you don't mind being closer to the train station, try these: Hamburger Hof, Ibis on the Friedensbrucke, Holiday Inn Express Alte Oper, Motel One by the Römer, Manhatten Hotel, The Pure, Hotel Monopol, Victoria Hotel, Hotel Nizza.
For a single, I would take the Motel One by the Römer. You can't beat the location, it is brand new and I quite like this chain of hotels.

Thanks Jo. I settled on the Mirimar. The Motel One looked good and I have stayed at a Motel One before. There was a big price difference.

I stayed at the Miramar a few years ago, it was really fine despite the unassuming exterior. Convenient to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations and to sightseeing areas.
