Hello! We are looking for favorite hotels near city center ( or train station if advised- I know not always advised in some cities) for 1 night as we are just doing a quick night after flying in. Anything around 150$ is great - there were a lot of options so curious if anyone had opinions
Also has the direct train from Munich to Zurich been repaired? I saw earlier on this board it was set for first week of July.

In May we stayed at the Aloft right across the street from the main train station. It was surprisingly quiet and very clean. If you book far enough ahead you can get it in the $170 range. Made it easy the next morning to catch our train to Prague.
Yes, the train to Zurich is running again. However, due to the Olympics, there is currently a mandatory seat reservation (which is included in the fare). You should therefore book in good time, because simply buying a ticket at the last minute, which would otherwise be quite normal, could be risky at the moment.
