Hotel in Munich

Initially wanted to book motel one @ Sendlinger Tor in December. But it got all booked up. Any other recommendations? Near station, Christmas market?
If not, I shall book the Duetsches Museum Motel one.

I recommended the Hotel Blauer Bock near the Viktualienmarkt.
Here is a google photo of the Marienplatz from November 2016. You can see they are setting up the booths for the Christmas Market.

There are a lot of hotels south of the Hauptbahnhof, but I am not thrilled by the neighborhood, nor do I think will you. Nothing unsafe about it, but the area near the Viktualiennarkt is much nicer.

I would also recommend the Blauer Bock. If you have the time, Asamkirche (sp?) is just around the corner and worth a look.

Just north of Sendlinger Tor, 2 blocks south of Kaufingerstr. on Damenstiftstr. is Münchnerkindl. I stayed there a few years ago. Other than the fact that it lacks an elevator, it is otherwise fine. It's closer to Marienplatz and the Stachus S-Bahn station and certainly has better prices than some of the others.

Another place I haven't stay at yet, but gets good reviews here from those who have is Pension Lindner. It's real close to Marienplatz, has an elevator, and also has reasonable prices for Munich.
