Hi all, my husband and I are planning to spend two nights in Dresden between longer stays in Berlin and Munich. Dates are June 5 - 7. Any suggestions for a nice hotel located close to the main sights?

The Motel One Dresden am Zwinger is less than 1/2 km from Old Town and 200m from the Postplatz tram stop, where trams will take you to/from the train station. They show availability for June 5-7.
From the top of the Ferris Wheel that is adjacent to the Motel One, you can see down into the courtyard of the Zwinger Palace.

We really like the Gewandhaus. I have stayed there twice, and my husband has stayed there numerous times, FWIW. The location is great as it is walkable to all the main sights. There is construction directly across from it, so check the website and see if that would matter to you.
