We stayed at the Hotel Edelweiss in Garmisch Martinswinkelstraße 17, (not the military resort) several years ago and loved it. The website is down and when you go to booking sites, whatever dates thru the year you put in it says its sold out. Booking.com says it isn't accepting any dates right now. Wondering if they are still open?

Hi JR- There is a poster named swandav2000 that regularly posts on the Fodors Germany forum. I believe swandav2000 lives in Garmisch. You might try asking your question there. We usually stay at the Gästehaus Brigitte when we visit Garmisch.

Kenneth - thanks - Swandav graciously went by the property and found out that they will no longer be accepting public bookings. Really sorry to see this place go. It was absolutely lovely. It's decor and charm were tops. At least we have an answer, and a huge thanks to Swandav for helping out!
