Hofbrau Berlin on New Years Eve

Hi All,
We are a group of 6 aged between 20 and 50 and will be in Berlin for New Year's Eve. We were considering going to Hofbrau Berlin to celebrate, but wanted to make sure it's going to be a busy party atmosphere. We don't want to get there and find it half empty and boring.
We are interested to hear if anyone could suggest another venue which might also be an option for NYE in Berlin.

Thanks :)

I can't recommend a place in Berlin, but just saying Hofbräu is a Bavarian thing. Bavaria in Berlin? Kind of like the Hofbräu in Cleveland,OH. I would recommend recommendations for a Berlin Silvesrter. The party by Brandenburger Tor is gigantic and more like a Times Square New Years thing with top music acts and thousands and thousands of people and unbelievable fireworks etc.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am well aware that Hofbrau is Bavarian style, but no reason not to go there. We are just wanting somewhere with a good party atmosphere which is indoors preferably, and we can sit and have a few drinks :)

How about the restaurant at Rathaus Köpenick way in the east of Berlin?

Whatever you decide: book NOW!
Almost all restaurants offer specials for New Year's Eve, often with live music, and are usually fully booked by now. Restaurants popular among the locals, like the Ratskeller at Rathas Köpenick, sometimes a year in advance.
