Hmmm... Krampus Run or Christmas Market at 5,000 feet

I'll be in Salzburg Dec 7 - 9. My options for the evening of Dec 8 are

Maxglaner Krampuslauf = a Krampus Run in an area of Salzburg just west of the Old Town

Bergadvent am Hartkaiser = a low-key Christmas market (with snow) on a 5,000 ft peak near Ellmau in Tyrol about 60 minutes away from Salzburg

Which would you pick?

Ooooh, tough one. I might choose the Krampus run just because it is pretty unique.

I agree, tough choice but I too would probably opt for the Krampus Run. We were in Salzburg last year and missed the run by mere minutes, but they showed up at the restaurant we were at that night and it was so much fun to see them!

Krampus Run hands down.

When I worked in Germany with U.S. Forces I decorated my office door with a Krampus theme. The Americans didn’t get it……

Have fun doing Christmas markets and the spirit of Krampus!
