We are planning an August trip to hike in Berchtesgaden and then to the Santa Cristina area and hiking this area of the Dolomites. Is there train transportation between the two or should we rent a car (maybe in Salzburg?) Would that be a problem to rent a car in Salzburg and drive it in Germany? Thanks! Also any accommodation recommendations are appreciated
