High Speed Train from Berlin to Frankfurt

My wife and I will be visiting relatives in Berlin in October and want to take the train from Berlin to Frankfurt so as to enjoy the Romantic Road for a few days. I looked at the listing for trains on the day we will need one and it gave 48 Euros as the price for two seniors on that day at the time we needed. I would like go on a high speed train so as to get to Frankfurt by noon. Can one tell which trains are high speed versus not high speed by looking at the train schedule? I know this sounds elementary to many but it has been a while since we negotiated the trains in Europe. Thanks.

The ICE's are the fast trains - but be sure & look at the transit time - some make more stops than others:

This one takes 3:57 and no changes

Berlin Hbf (tief) 06:59 3:57 0 ICE 29,00 EUR
126,00 EUR

Frankfurt(Main)Hbf 10:56

"Can one tell which trains are high speed" - look to see how long the trip takes. When the train is listed it will show departure and arrival times.
German High Speed trains are called "ICE", and train numbers starting with ICE. They do not go High Speed all the time, just when on high speed lines.

Which Frankfurt do you mean, there are two in Germany, Frankfurt am Main and Frankfurt an der Oder?
But, neither of them are anywhere near the Romantic Road, which is in Bavaria and runs from Würzburg to Füssen.

My first thought, but the Romantic Road Coach actually starts in Frankfurt, at the Hbf.

Also, Würzburg, which is the northern terminus of the Road, is just over an hour from Frankfurt Hbf by ICE, under two hours by RE.

In which case, the OP (Jerry) should be looking for trains from Berlin to Würzburg. Why does he want to go to Frankfurt?

Why does he want to go to Frankfurt?

I'm just guessing, but the fact that he said he wanted to be in Frankfurt (not Würzburg) by noon, leads me to believe he wants to see Frankfurt before going on to Würzburg. Or maybe he wants to take the coach.
