Can anyone recommend a really good upmarket vegetarian, or very vegetarian-friendly, restaurant in Munich? From guides I was thinking the Prinz Myshkin, but online reviews are a bit negative about it. The other places recommended online are a bit too downmarket for what I need.

I guess HappyCow guide you know already? Click on "vegetarian" and loo at price index on right side.

In nearly every high-class restaurant you will get also vegetarian dishes, maybe a much lower choice. I recommend to have a look into the menus on the website.
