Help with schedule

As I posted the other day. I will be in Germany on business in July. Right now I will be leaving Stuttgart on a Thursday afternoon, I have a hotel booked in Fussen Saturday and Sunday nights. So I have Thursday night through Saturday to schedule.

I figured Munich was the logical stop for the two nights. But I wanted to throw it out there. Any other opinions? Is Munich a good call or would you suggest another area? We are open to large or small cities, will be traveling by car as I need it for business.

Any input welcome. Thank you.

I think that Munich is one of the best cities in Europe. Lots to do and see there, many fine restaurants, excellent public transportation (you probably won't want to drive in the city, but park the car somewhere) And, of course, if you're into it, lots of wonderful beer and interesting places in which to drink it.

I would look at somewhere on the Bodensee, perhaps Meersburg or Lindau.

The Bodensee is a good suggestion, but the Chiemsee is closer to Munich and there is another of Ludwig's castles there.
Hotel Luitpold in Prien is a very good choice for a visit there.

I'll add in Hechingen if you have a castle jones. The Hohenzollern Castle is a 19th century rebuild of the German Imperial family's ancestral home. It predates Neuschwanstein by about 40 years and served as its model.

Thanks for the great suggestions Meersburg looks like a great option. I have one night to schedule yet after business in Friedrichshafen.

So in your opinions where would you stay the night. Its a short stay, arrive Monday around noon and leave the next day around the same time. Just a night before we head to Frankfurt to fly home after 10 days. So Friedrichshafen, Lindau, or Meersburg?
