Hi all, I will be traveling to stuttgart in September and have 4days in hand, I have no idea about what I can see there and also if there are any day trips I can take to some world heritage or scenic places. Please can you recommend a few options which you experienced and I should not miss
Lived there for several months serving with the Army.
In Stuttgart, visit the Daimler Museum, south of the city.
Day trip to Heidelberg.
Trip to the Romantic Road. Several walled Medieval towns and great cities.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the most famous.
It is a bit far, but consider Strasbourg, France, on the border.
Short day trips from Stuttgart with train time needed:
Esslingen, 12 min's.
Tübingen, 55 m.
Ludwigsburg, 15 m.
Besigheim, 20 m.

Central Stuttgart is pretty modern, but there are some nice green bits in the suburbs. The Staatsgalerie is worth visiting if you are into art. Schloss Solitude in the suburbs is an old royal palace that is also worth visiting.
If you are at all interested in cars the Mercedes-Benz Museum is a must. The Porsche Museum is more missable unless you are a serious Porsche fan.
