Help with best scenic boat ride in the Rhine (1 to 1.5 hrs) from Frankfurt for tomorrow ( june 30)

Hello,

I am currently in Frankfurt and deciding on how to approach a boat ride thru the Rhine to see the Castles. I read that there are some better scenic routes and trying to find out what is the best.
I can take the train from Frankurt to a location where I can transfer to the kd boats and travel in the Rhine. I would like to see the Marksburg castle and tour it.

This will be a one day trip tomorrow.f
Is it better taking the train to Braubach from Frankurt? Or are there other options. I want to include a boat trip to see the scenery. But I do not want to spend more than 1 to 1.5 hrs in the boat, as I want to get off and walk in a town if possible.

Your responses are appreciates. It is already late here in Germany, but hopefully I can get some of your advise.

Regards,

Rosie Monge

Take the direct VIA train to Bingen or Rüdesheim - have a look around there - and board the KD Boat there (9:30, 10:30, 11:30) to St. Goarshausen. (Alternatively, get off the boat in St. Goar 10 minutes earlier for a look around there, then use the ferry to cross over to St Goarshausen.) Catch a train north from St. G'hausen to Braubach (22 minutes.) Braubach is a very attractive town for a short look around and a meal. Then after your castle tour you can return by train directly to Frankfurt (2 hours.) There should be a castle tour in English at 4 pm, or just take a German tour (request a handout in English.)
