Help with Berlin Museum/Transit pass?

Traveling with my 27 yo daughter-
Will arrive in Berlin-Tegel at 12 noon on Mon 6/8.
Staying in Prenzlauer Berg.
Departing from Tegel very early am Fri 6/12

Trying out to figure out best combination of museum/transit pass to purchase.

We plan to sightsee Mon, Tues, Wed- then day trip to Sachsenhausen on Thurs.

My daughter is a member of ICOM (Museum org) and will most likely get free or discounted admission for the Museum Island sights- Pergamon, Neues, etc so I don't think she needs a Museum Island pass.
The only museum we might visit that is not included on Welcome Card w/Museum Island ss Gemaldegalrie- so she probably gets in free- I pay for that one!

I think this is what I need, it is a bit confusing!

Me- Berlin Welcome Card AB with Museum Island 40.50 Euros
Daughter- Berlin Welcome Card AB 26.70 Euros
1 Day transit passes ABC to use on Thurs to Sachenshausen 6.90 Euros each

Am I correct is assuming the 72 hr Welcome Card will expire at midnight on Wed? (use on Mon, Tues, Wed)

We plan to take a cab to Tegel or am considering mydriver.com for transport to airport on Friday am- anyone have experience with mydriver.com?

Thanks

~The 3 day Musuem Pass includes the 5 musuems on the island: Gemaldegaire, the Neuse, the Bode, The Alte, and Pergamon.
The cost is 24 Euros.

~The Welcome Card AB gives you your local ground transit for 72 hours. *It also includes Berlin Texel Airport. You get the 5 museums on the Island and other musuems and discounts. Costs 40.50 Euros.

I'm too jet lagged so I prefer a taxi after arrival and I used a taxi for departure, too. The taxi is 40 Eursos to Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood.
Are you walkers? I found I did well from Prenzlauer Berg using 2 single trip tickets and a 1 day ticket. So I spent 11.90 Euros for the 3 days getting around. I chosed the 3 day Pass for 24 Euros as I didn't see myself using all the discounts offered on the Welcome Card. So I spent 115.90 Euros.

If you do a Taxi Transfer, the 1 Day Transit to Sachshausen, and the Berlin Welcome Card AB with Musuem Island your toal is 127.40 Euros. Our difference is 11.50 Euros. ***If you utilize the Texel Part of the Welcome Card AB, and will be walking less and like the convenience of 72 hours AB transit, then, yes, your plan makes sense to me.

Thanks Diane- we will be coming from Budapest so no jet lag- but still might actually taxi from and to airport- we will see how we feel!
We are walkers but do want the flexibility/option in hand.

Can anyone clarify the expiration of Welcome Card- is it actually a 72 hour card- first use 2 PM Mon- expires 2 PM Thurs- or is it really a 3 day card- Mon, Tues, Wed- expires at midnight on Wed?

How is the time of validity of the Berlin WelcomeCard 2015 calculated?
For example: Berlin WelcomeCard 2015 – valid for 48 hours: if it is devaluated e.g. on 31.12.2015 at 20:00, the validity of the Berlin WelcomeCard subsequently runs out on 02.01.2016 at 20:00.
The ÖPNV (personal public transport) ticket has to be devalued in the travel ticket stamping machine before entering the vehicle. The reductions included in the guide are exclusively valid with your Berlin WelcomeCard ticket and only after its devaluation, for two or three days.
Please note: The validity of the 5 day ticket ends on the fifth day at midnight.

(Normal BVG / S-Bahn day tickets have another period of validity.)
