Help replacing a souvenir from Burg Rheinfels in St. Goar

Edit: OK, I’m asking for help on this again. Jlos said she bought the necklace for me, but I haven’t heard back from her after multiple messages. Anyone else willing to help?

My son bought a necklace from the gift shop at Burg Rheinfels last year and has worn it every day since then. It’s tarnishing badly, and I’d love to get a new one for him and seal it somehow so it doesn’t tarnish. I’ve tried cleaning it and it just wears off more of the finish.

Is anyone going there soon and willing to get a replacement for me? I can send a picture of it and will reimburse for the cost (about 15€?) and shipping.

If it's important, see a local jeweler about preservation/conservation. Perhaps a special polish or tarnish remover might solve the problem. Once the tarnish is removed, sealing the surface with a product sounds sensible.

We’ll be visiting, but not until April. Would be happy to pick one up for you if no one else steps up to the plate and is traveling sooner.
