Help needed with D-Ticket bought on MVV

I bought my "Deutschlandweit gultig im Nahverkehr" "Deutschland Ticket" today.
It took a lot of log in, log out, playing around after registering and entering my information and credit card (about 90 minutes in total) before it gave me the option to choose and buy my ticket.

I have my ticket on my phone and it says "Deutschlandweit gultig im Nahverkehr" Deutschland Ticket on the ticket, but for some unknown reason, when I search for Mannheim or Cologne or any other location, it only brings up Munich. When I look at the map, it only shows Munich and surrounding area.

How in the world can I get it to give me options for the rest of Germany?

No need to worry. The Deutschland Ticket is valid all over Germany (Deutschland). Just because you have it on the MVV app is immaterial. If you want to see trains outside of the MVV, use the Deutsche Bahn app. The MVV app only cares about transport inside the MVV.

You will look for schedules for the rest of Germany on DBahn. You will show your ticket using the MVV app. It shouldn’t have taken you 90 minutes. It is normally about a 5 minute process. Not sure what happened in your case.

Thank you so very much, I was scared that I somehow bought the wrong ticket.

When I use the DB app, is there a setting that I can use that will only bring up Trains and other modes of transportation that accepts the D-Ticket?

Yes, "local transport only" button. DB will only show trains and S-Bahns. You will have to look at the particular city or region for U-Bahn, tram, bus connections.
