Help : Munich in rainy cold weather

We will be in Munich this Saturday - will have half day Saturday and will have jet lag.
We have three full days - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Unfortunately weather shows rains - 70% chance on Saturday, 35% Sunday, 55% Monday.
Tuesday appears dry but cloudy. Every day temperature is from 44F-55F (about 5-13C)

I was hoping to do Neuschwanstein castle day trip one day, half day trip to Dachau and remainder in Munich. Not sure how both will work with rains. Will changing to Nuremberg help ?

Any suggestions on how best to alter plans around the rains ?
Thx

We're in the middle of a five day stay in Munich right now. Our solution is to wear our rain gear and carry our umbrellas, and carry on as usual. Maybe take more transit as opposed to longer walks. It looks like the rain is settling in for a long while.

Not sure in Munich, but we are West of there now. Everyday has been forecasted rain, but reality has been different, While we may see some rain each day, it has been mostly light, and only for a small portion of the day. The rest of the day only cloudy or partly cloudy. Will be in Munich, but in a week. so hope it improves.

The best part of the castle is the outstanding views from the outside. So I would try to go when it isn’t pouring rain if possible. The inside is not all that interesting. There are other conversations on the forum about this as well.

Neuschwanstein is at the base of the mountains. If there are clouds they will pile up there. Trying to get from Munich to Neuschwanstein and back in half a day is pushing it. With the drive it's 6 hours easy. Dachau is right by Munich, easy to reach by train, and the weather shouldn't make any difference.

Nuremberg is further north, so I'm not sure what that would accomplish. If you want to change one of the others to a day trip there it can be done. Frankly I'd rather spend time in Nuremberg than visit either of your other choices.

The rains have come a little early this year. It happens. Hopefully we won't have a long, cold, winter. Dress accordingly and go around. Last fall it seemed like every time I planned a hike to a castle ruin it would rain; I still went. There's so much to do just in Munich I can't imagine running short of things to do indoors.

Waterproof boots should be high on the list of things you wear. I hate umbrellas, so I wear a hat.
