I currently have reservations for a 45-minute lecture and a 90-minute guided tour at the Reichstag. Both of them offer a visit to the Dome at the end but this is not guaranteed. The descriptions for the lecture and tour are as follows:
Lectures are available on the visitors’ gallery of the plenary chamber. In these 45-minute lectures you will learn important facts about the functions, working methods and composition of Parliament, as well as the history and architecture of the Reichstag Building. Lectures begin every hour on the hour. Following the lecture, you will have an opportunity – parliamentary business, weather and the security situation permitting – to visit the dome.
We offer guided tours explaining the functions, working methods and composition of Parliament, as well as the history and architecture of the Reichstag Building. Afterwards you will have an opportunity to visit the dome.
I'm wondering whether the lecture and guided tour offer different insights but the description of both visits sound very similar. if you've been through this first-world dilemma, do weigh in. Thank you!
