Hamburg restaurant recos?

I'm traveling to Hamburg for work and we'll mainly be in the city center without a lot of time for exploring farther away. To complicate things more, our food budget will be on the conservative side, so I'll need to plan smartly. I'd love to get your recommendations for delicious restaurants to try. Thanks in advance!

Nobody answered so far. Possible reason: unprecise request.
Where are you concretely? in Hamburgs's city you can easily spend an hour from left to right.
What means "conservative" budget concretely? If you are from NYC every price in Hamburg might appear conservatively.

Tip 1: At TripAdvisor you can do a place-based research for restaurants.
Tip 2: Do not trust Google Maps.

One restaurant I would recommend in Hamburg is across from the central station, ie Hamburg Hbf. It's at Kirchenallee 45 called "Paulaner's Miraculum" The restaurant has a Bavarian theme to it as suggested by the name of the beer in its title.

Located on the same side of the block as the Hotel Fürst Bismarck, the restaurant is cash only, if that matters.

Numerous other eateries in that area and on Kirchenallee. Kirchenallee is one of the exits out of the Hbf.

If you want to have a sit down meal inside the Hbf, then I suggest "Schwenska Restaurant" ...not bad, even though it's a chain, You pay in cash there too as the only credit card accepted is the EuroCard, which you don't have. I don't go by Trip Advisor especially in Germany, never use them.

These two restaurants I have had meals there more than once....comfortable and satisfactory.

Thank you for the replies, Fred and Mark. I'm sorry for not being specific about the location - I thought City Center was a neighborhood (on one of the maps I looked at) and I'm not familiar with the city to really know the different areas yet. Trying to be more specific, we'll be staying near the southwest side of Alster Lake, and the areas I think we'll be closest to are Alstadt, Neustadt, and St Georg. In this case, my "conservative" meal budget is about 80 euros a day, which I mention because business trips often have generous budgets for client entertaining and such, but this one does not. Thanks for any additional recos this helps spark.

This is more precisely. Thanks. I guess you mean the Binnenalster (inner), not Außenalster (outer)? Both are part of the river Alster.

Neustadt is sw but St. Georg is on the east side of Alster. Still confused. So, around Gänsemarkt or where?

Exactly...Thanks...sorry for the misspelling. It's a Kettenrestaurant.
