It says on the brewery's website here that tours are offered Mon-Fri but only for groups of 10 or more, not for individuals. Or, there's a "beer workshop" you can sign up for as an individual, but it's only every other Tuesday.

No, I've never been, just looked it up out of curiosity. Possibly the reason you couldn't find it was spelling - it's Griesbraeu, not Greisbrau. Hope this helps

I am aware that the Edelweiss offers trips....However, I would like to visit this brewery from Munich. The web makes it sound unique and attractive to tour. I see a Munich stay for the ambiance of Munich and day trips to Dachau, Murnau and perhaps Innsbruck. Reactions out there?

I see a Munich stay for the ambiance of Munich and day trips to Dachau, Murnau and perhaps Innsbruck.

A "tour" in not required to visit Dachau from Munich and, in my opinion, is probably a rip-off. There is no admission charge to visit the Memorial in Dachau, but they do offer 2½ hour tours by guides trained by the Memorial for 3,50€/P. English tours are at 11 and 1 pm or they offer audio guides for 4€ so you can tour at any time at your own pace.

Getting to the Dachau Memorial by public transportation is easy and inexpensive. From any S-Bahn station in downtown Munich, take an S2 (destination [Richtung] Petershausen) to the Dachau Bahnhof, then take the 726 bus from in front of the station to the Memorial (the bus stop is well marked as going to the Memorial). The entire trip takes 38 minutes and costs 8,90€ for a single München XXL Tageskarte (day ticket for the inner two zones, covers unlimited travel, ie RT). If you are doing any sightseeing in Munich that day, you probably need an inner zone day ticket anyway for 6,70€, so the round trip to Dachau is only 2,20€ more. A day ticket to Dachau for up to 5 people (München XXL Gruppen Tageskarte) is 16,10€ vs 12,80 for just the inner zone.

As for Murnau, you can easily get there by train for 22,-€ round trip with a Regio-Ticket Werdenfels, but if the brewery only offers group tours then you might have to settle for a 3rd-party tour from somewhere. Isn't Edelweiss Lodge in Garmisch-Partenkirchen?
