My husband and I have traveled extensively through Germany. As a foodie the gastronomic encounter is an important part of our travel experience. We checked out the menu at Haus Des Handwerks, located across the street from the Lutherhaus Museum. We decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. In fact, it's now on our list of one of the best European dining experiences we've had. The owner, Dirk Teschner, was an amazing host and the food was very tasty. When we mentioned dessert because it was my husbands birthday, Dirk brought a delicious dessert that included a sparkling candle at no charge. BTW, Haus Des Handwerks is a member of Slow Foods Deutschland meaning most of what they serve is locally raised and served in season. Rick this restaurant should be in your book!
