Gray Line, Rick Steves & Neuschwanstein

Hello, we want to visit Neuschwanstein and the Mad king Castles.

We bought Rick Steves' book Munich, Bavaria and Salzburg and learned Rick recommens using Gray Line tours, and he says you will get a discount presenting his Book.

Also we learned about the 14 days Bavarian palace ticket (the Mehrtagesticket).

But, and we asked Gray Line (response was cryptic) we don't know if we can use the Mehrtagesticket with them.
Also we don't know if we can get the discount buying online.

Can anybody help?
Thanks,
Brad.-

The Rick Steves' discount for Gray Line tours is only if you buy your ticket with cash from the Euraide office, window 1 in the Reisezentrum area of Munich main train station, relatively near to the starting point for the tour, but not open before the morning departure time toward Neuschwanstein, so you'd have to buy them earlier, such as when you arrive in Munich.

The tour charges separately for the castle admissions but they must be for specific times, so I don't know if the Mehrtagesticket substitution will work. What was their cryptic answer?

They said I could use the Mehrtagesticket but I should pay EUR 1 to them anyway for the entrance.
I arrive in Munich July the 10th (summer time, crowded time) is it safe to try to get the ticket at Euraide or should I get the online version? We want to go the 13th so just 3 days in advance!

Also: with one book can we get the discount for the 3 members of my family or just 1?

And finally, there is another company Pure Bavaria Tours http://www.pure-bavaria-tours.de/pages/neuschwanstein.html

Any experience comparing with Grayline tours http://www.grayline.com/tours/munich/neuschwanstein-linderhof-royal-castle-and-oberammergau-tour-from-munich-5868_13/

Thanks!

Hi Brad - I'm going in May and decided to buy the Gray Line
