We are looking at renting a camper van from McRent in Frankfurt for approximately 30 days starting in September. Anyone have any recent information on camp grounds, van rentals, advise in general? We will be traveling mostly in Western Germany and Munich, if time permits to Northern area back to Frankfurt.

I do know there are lots of camper/RV parks along the Mosel River. It is a great place to be during September because of the grape harvest and there will be weekend "strassenweinfests" in towns up and down the river. You could easily spend two weekends there and the time in between. That's just my view from one little part of Germany. I'm sure there is more.
