The Olympiazentrum U-Bahn station is adjacent to the BMW complex. It's maybe 100 meters from the station exit to the north door of BMW Welt. Walk through to the southeast end of BMW Welt and a pedestrian bridge takes you across the street to the museum.

From Hauptbahnhof to Olympiazentrum, take U8 (Richtung: Olympiazentrum); from Marienplatz or Sendlinger Tor, take U3 (Richtung: Moosach).

If you're in a hurry, BMW Welt is interesting in its own right. Yes, it's a spectacular new-car showroom and delivery center, but there are other exhibits as well, along with restaurants and a gift shop. BMW owns Rolls-Royce and Mini, so those lines are on display, too. BMW Welt is open longer hours than the museum, and it's free.

For Dachau take S2 (Richtung: Petershausen) from any of the central trunk stations (Ostbahnhof through Laim).

Yes, it is possible to do both in one day. Personally, I'd do Dachau in the morning and BMW Museum in the afternoon. Dachau is a pretty heavy and powerful experience that can leave you with some very strong emotions. Doing something a little lighter hearted in the afternoon has always allowed me to feel the weight of the experience without it taking over my entire day.

I think it's possible to do both in one day, but you might have to make some compromises, such as not staying at each place as long as you might like or using an audio guide at the Dachau Memorial instead of taking a tour with a human guide. For instance, there is an English language guided tour at Dachau at 11:00. The tour takes 2½ hours, then there is the documentary film at 14:00. If you can get to the Memorial entrance by 14:33, after the 22 minute film, you can take the bus back to Dachau Bahnhof, the S-Bahn to the Hbf, and U-Bahns to the BMW museum, the MVV schedule website says you can be there by just after 3:30 PM, which gives you less than 2½ hours before they close at 6:00 PM. It looks like the last factory tour is at 4:30 PM.

There are several routes you can take from Dachau Memorial to the BMW museum (one all buses) depending on what time you actually leave the Memorial. It would be a good idea to have these figured out so that you don't waste time waiting for one you just missed. You can find schedules on the MVV (Munich metro) website, www.mvv-muenchen.de. Use "kz-gedenkstätte - Dachau" for Start (don't worry about the ä, it will offer the address by the time you type the 'k'). Use "BMW Museum" for the Ziel (destination).

I suggest you edit your title to read something like "Munich - BMW Museum and Dachau". As is, your title is awfully generic...and likely you won't get nearly as many responses as you would with a more specific title!
