Anyone have a suggestion for the best Germany cycling maps? Physical maps, not online. Specifically I plan to do a lot of cycling in and around Bavaria. Thanks!
I think you'll have to go for the AFDC Radtourenkarten.
I know you want physical maps rather than online, but you might find these links helpful

(you can order paper versions of their maps/guides on the lasr two links)
omnimap.com has lots of cycling maps. Of course when you get to Germany there will be lots of them with more detailed scales.
I always used http://www.bayerninfo.de/en/bike.
They have an option to download or order physical maps for free:

I also replied to the other poster's question regarding rain gear for biking in Germany and France. Again, check out the EuroVelo website: [http://www.eurovelo.com/en][1]
As for maps, the red Michelin are ideal for cycle touring in Europe. Used them for years.
