Germany Air Conditioning in Hotels

Hello,

Is anyone in Nuremberg, Munich, or Berlin now and has found a hotel with good air conditioning in this heat wave?
Thanks!

I stayed at both the Adina Apartment Hotel Hackescher Markt and also Motel One in Berlin (the Motel One was the one near the Hauptbahnhof) and both of them had A/C. I liked both hotels very much.

Generally Premier Inns (a chain from the UK) have A/C, and I believe the one in Munich's city center has it. There is also a Premier Inn in Nuremberg that does as well (although I would confirm with both hotels before you book).

Most American upscale chains, like Marriott, Hilton and so on will have A/C.

Motel One is a German hotel chain that has hotels in all those cities. All have air conditioning. Small but spotlessly clean rooms with a bit of design flare. Good organic breakfast. Nice ground floor common areas themed according to the city in which they are located. The Berlin Upper West location has a really nice 5th floor lounge and terrace that looks out over the city and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

I can recommend the Franconia City Hotel in Nuremberg. Lovely, spacious rooms, wonderful beds, excellent breakfast, good location walking distance to the train station and downtown. Helpful proprietress and very reasonable price.

The only negative was the rooms mostly look out on a parking garage or a fire station, with attendant light and some noise, but the blackout curtains and AC were great and made it perfectly comfortable.

Thanks! Are any of you in Germany now to see if their Air Conditioning holds up in this heat wave?

Motel One has great AC. We used them in Munich during a heat wave a few years ago. Have stayed in 2 of them in Berlin too.
Just stayed in a large hotel this past weekend in Frankfurt, because I needed some sleep where it wasn't so hot. The AC was fantastic. Called Lindner hotel, it is owned by Hyatt. 80€ per night and included a really nice bfast buffet.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn inside the old walls in July of 2024 in Nuremberg and the A/C worked fine. Very good location too.

Just left Berlin a few days ago, super hot (and I live in Florida and am used to it). Restaurants mostly were not air conditioned but Adina Apt Hotel Hackescher was—not COLD a/c like we are used to though! Same for Frankfurt at airport Hilton.
