I am scheduled to take my first trip too Europe since retiring from the military. Since all my other trips were on military orders, I am out of the loop on what documents are required for entry into Germany. Do I just need my passport and CDC COVID card, or is there other things I need to complete prior to my trip?
For US citizens the US State Dept website is a good place to start.
Here is the page for Germany.
On that page is a link for Covid vaccine requirements too.
Your airline may also be a good source. Check your air reservation and see what it says about necessary documents. With things changing often the airline may or may not be up to date but because they have responsibility to fly you home if your destination country doesn't allow you they are the first screen as to whether you meet the requirements. If you don't meet what the airline thinks are the requirements you aren't going to be allowed to board the plane.
Thank you for the info!
