We will spend two weeks in Fussen area in March 2020.
We are seeking recommendations for apartment or home rentals in the area for a week.
Under $225/night
1+ bedroom
1+ bathroom
QUIET
Clean
and if in walking distance to town, that would be a bonus.
I did log on to a link that was posted by someone in the Fussen Forum for vacation rentals and it listed only three properties.

The Fussen website www.fuessen.de lists over 140 ferienwohnung in the town. I bet 95% or more are less than$225 per night.
You might consider trying Airbnb.

Which Fussen Forum?
Nigel, it was in the general traveler forum for Fussen, which I read before posting my topic here.
I should have listed the link that I followed which featured only three Fussen rental properties, but I now can't find it.
You could look at the Hopfensee area. Pretty sure local bus service to Füssen. It's about 5-7km from Füssen. Many hotels and apartments. We stayed at the link below (apartments/FEWO) about 5 years ago. Apparently it got a needed complete renovation and I'll guess new ownership? Well within your $225 a night. There are restaurants, small grocery store etc. right on the Hopfensee within walking distance.
