We are not using a car while traveling from Fussen to Innsbruck in September 2026. What is the easiest way to travel by train or bus from Fussen to Innsbruck?

The usual way is to transfer from Fuessen to a station on the Austrian railway by bus and to take the regional trains from there to Innsbruck. This is a scenic train route which takes you past Germany's Zugspitze peak.

The DB itinerary search page should show you the schedules for bus and the trains you will need to take. Just enter Fuessen as your from station and Innsbruck as your to station. There may be an express bus on the schedule within Austria as well and you probably need to use the same bus out of Fuessen first in order to catch this express bus.
