I am going to Berlin on a RS tour and wondered if anyone knows of a fun place to hear music in a nice club, jazz or blues would be preferable. Our hotel is in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood.

I don't know if the Berlin Philharmonic is in season, but they offer free concerts on Tuesdays (?) I think. Go on their web site and check it out. Its not jazzy but it is one of the world famous philharmonics.
The Berlin tourist website should have an events listing, too.
