Frieburg or Titisee?

Hi everyone,
We are a large family group (2 adults, 2 grandmothers, and 2 preteens). As a break in our drive from Paris to Vienna I thought everyone would enjoy stopping at Badenparadies Schwarzwald and exploring the area for a day. My question is would you recommend staying in Frieburg or in Titisee for the two nights?

Freiburg. We stayed there for a week two years ago, and it's lovely to walk around the town in the evening after driving around the Black Forest. Titisee is a small tourist spot on the lake - not too much to do except hike (and there's better spots for that) or take an electric boat out (which is fun). We also stayed in Freiburg 40 years ago, and went to Titisee - the changes are amazing, as they are everywhere.
