I have tried to make reservations directly with Hotel Zur Gred, based on some very nice recemendations from Forum, I have twice emailed with no response, I don't speak German, so maybe the problem.
Can anyone suggest any other nice local not too expensive hotels (under 130E) in the area?

Monica, I have just sent you a private message. We have had some trouble communicating with the Hotel zur Gred in the past. You might try the Hotel Bayerischerhof. They currently have rooms (HRS.com) for mid August at 95 euros per night for a double. There rooms are larger that zur Gred, the breakfast is better and the staff is more professional. They have recently refurbished all of their rooms. They are centrally located in Freising about 3-4 city blocks from zur Gred.
