We are hoping to tour a brewery while in the Munich area and are having some trouble finding out information online. Specifically days & times and if reservations are necessary. We are seeing references to them so apparently they do have them. We will be staying in Freising & will go near Ayinger also. many thanks for any info!

Not an anwser to your question, but... if you're staying in Freising, make sure you check out nearby Landshut as well.

The brewery in Freising is Weihenstephan, and they have a website - http://weihenstephaner.de/language.php. The opening page gives you a language option including English. After a page to confirm you are over 16, the next page has a link to "Guided brewery tours", with information about times and cost.

I heard that the tour was wonderful! We plan to tour Ayinger this summer. Have fun!
